Book Recommendations

Tis the season!

The Holiday season is upon us (yay!).  I thought I’d share with you some books that are currently on my Christmas reading list. I’m going to read these with a good cup of hot chocolate, a warm blanket and a good view of the snow fall. (It hasn’t started snowing yet but I’m hoping it’ll start soon!).

So here’s a short list of Christmassy reads that I’ve compiled:

1. Let It Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle

I haven’t read this yet but it’s at the top of my TBR pile this Christmas season. From the blurb, I can tell that this book is filled with snowstorms, romance and all the christmassy feels imaginable. Also, I ‘m a huge John Green fan so..yeah.

2. Maybe This Christmas by Sarah Morgan

I read this book last year in the middle of summer?? (what??). Haha. It’s the 3rd book in the O’Neil Brothers series by Sarah Morgan. However, you don’t have to have read the other two books to understand what’s going on this book. Each O’Neil brother has his own unique and interesting story/struggle with love. In this book we get to see Tyler O’Neil figure out how to be a father to his teenage daughter and we also get to see him accept his feelings for his childhood best friend Brenna Daniels. If you’re a sucker for good romance, this is a great book to read during the holidays!

3. Miracle on 5th Avenue by Sarah Morgan

Clearly, I’m a fan of Sarah Morgan but that’s because she really knows how to write a good romance story. This one hits stores in less than a week (November 29th). It’s also the 3rd book in the From Manhattan with Love series but once again, you also don’t have to have read the previous books to be able to enjoy this one.

4. Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan

“I’ve left some clues for you.

If you want them, turn the page.

If you don’t, put the book back on the shelf, please.”

I saw this quote on goodreads and it immediately spiked my curiosity. This book has been out since 2010 so I am getting to it a bit late but it is definitely at the top of my Christmas TBR this year.

5. The Twelve Days of Dash and Lily by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan

I’ve been seeing a lot of buzz surrounding this sequel to Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares; and since I’m finally going to read the first book, I figured I might as well just read the sequel. Plus, look at that gorgeous cover!

What are your favourite books to read during christmas? I’d love to know!
