“Sometimes the truth is messy and difficult but it isn’t always best left. Sometimes it saves you.”
Can I just say that it is impossible to read the title of this book and not automatically think of the popular song of the same name by Simple Minds, which then, for me, leads to thinking about ‘The Breakfast Club‘.

Ha, anyways, this review is real simple and short:
Georgina and Lucas are first loves for a brief moment during high school, and after prom they go their separate ways. Twelve years later when Georgina gets a job at a new bar in town, she’s shocked when her new boss turns out to be Lucas and even more so when he doesn’t seem to remember her.
I really can’t go into too much detail without ruining certain plots in this story. There were some parts that dealt with emotional abuse and assault but overall it was mostly light hearted. Reading this book was such a wonderful experience and involved lots of inaudible squealing on my part. Everything about the characters and dialogue make this story SO cute and hilarious, absolutely loved it!
