Wrapping up 2024 with 73 books read—a personal record! 🎉 Despite a busy year, I managed to dive into countless incredible stories, discovered new favorite authors, developed a surprising love for thrillers, and read more consistently than ever. It’s been a truly rewarding year of exploring diverse worlds and unforgettable characters.
For this year’s recap, I’m sharing my favorite book from each month, along with a list of honorable mentions—amazing reads that just missed the top spot. Every book here earned at least 4.5 stars (by my standards, of course!).
Without further ado, my favourite books of the year are:
January & February
📚 January: Re-read Against the Loveless World—just as powerful the second time.
📚 February: The Hundred Years War on Palestine lived up to all the hype.

March & April
📚 March: Pride & Joy had me laughing nonstop—it’s a must-read!
📚 April: Just For the Summer proved Abby Jimenez reigns in romance. Chemistry? Banter? Perfection.

May & June
📚 May: Black Girl, You Are Atlas—breathtaking poetry I’ll revisit every year.
📚 June: The Perfect Marriage sparked my love for thrillers.

July & August
📚 July: Past, Present, Future—a YA romance full of heart.
📚 August: The Frederick Sisters Are Living the Dream—emotional and unputdownable.

September & October
📚 September: Intermezzo—Sally Rooney’s best yet.
📚 October: Too Good To Be True—no one writes liars like Carola Lovering.

November & December
📚 November: By Any Other Name—classic Jodi Picoult greatness.
📚 December: There Goes the Neighborhood (still finishing, but already a YA favorite!).
